On Sunday, Jesus made His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, riding on the back of a donkey. People hailed Him with “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”

On Wednesday, the plot to kill Jesus was formed, and Judas made the agreement to betray Jesus

for 30 pieces of silver.

On Thursday, Jesus washed the disciples' feet, foretold of His betrayal, and held the Last Supper.

He predicted the denial of Peter and of the disciples' fight. He prayed for those who followed Him and for Himself (Gethsemane). He was betrayed by Judas and arrested.

On Friday, Jesus was brought before Annas and had trials before Caiaphas, the Sanhedrin, Pilate and Herod. Pilate delivered Jesus to be crucified. He was mocked and beaten, and carried His cross to Golgotha. He was placed on a cross between two criminals. Darkness falls on the cross even in the day, Jesus suffers and thirsts, and as He gives a loud cry, "Into Thy Hands...," He dies. The Temple Curtain is torn in two, and there are earthquakes. Dead heroes come out of their tombs. Soldiers pierce Jesus' side with a spear to validate His death. Joseph and Nicodemus take care of Jesus' Body, and a stone is rolled in front of the tomb entrance.

On Saturday, Jewish Leaders requested guards from Pilate to guard the tomb, giving extra security, because they remembered Jesus' words while He was alive, "After three days I will rise." The tomb was ordered to be made secure until the third day so that His body would not be stolen. 

 "So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard." Matthew 27:66

The women go to the tomb to annoint the body of Jesus, but were met by an angel and found Jesus had RISEN! Jesus appeared to the women, Simon Peter, to men on the Emnmaus Road, and to His disciples.

HALLELUJAH! JESUS IS ALIVE!

He lives today and will come back for those who place their faith in Him!
